Alisa and Justin are a young couple from Sanford that just got married in December 2010. They said their Ido’s at the Westin in Lake Mary, FL. Alisa works for Disney and Justin owns his own company. Their wedding ceremony was held indoors in a ballroom as well as the reception and had an elegant appeal with earth tone colors and a hint a green. The bride surprised the groom with cheerleaders doing a skit 80’s style mocking a skit from the TV show, Saturday Night Live, everyone was roaring in laughter. They also had a sketch artist sketching people’s faces to look like a cartoon. Another creative touch they had was a ‘wishing tree’, everyone wrote down a wish for them and attached it to the tree. Alisa and Justin really know how to keep it young and have fun.

Unique Fairytale Weddings

December 15, 2010 at 5:02 pm (Uncategorized) (, , , , , , , )

A Magic Moment is very reputable amongst the Japanese people. And it is very common in Japan for couples to come to the states, to Disney, for a Fairytale wedding; they leave their families and friends behind and come over for an intimate celebration. The ceremonies are held at the Disney Wedding Pavillion; the brides wear a gown usually resembling a princess gown like those in the Disney movies. The grooms usually wear a formal tux but everyone and a while the groom is dressed like a carriage man. Following the ceremony is a 30 minute reception in which they use this time for a meet and greet with Disney Characters of their choice; they’ll have their first dance and enjoy some wedding cake. Usually the cake they order is still an average three-tiered cake normally feeding 80 people. They’ll eat the middle layer, ship home the top layer and give away the bottom layer. The meet and greet with the characters is often very emotional for the brides.

Most memorable Japanese wedding: Maki and Nobuhiro wed at the Disney Wedding Pavillion on April 26, 2010.  The couple flew from Japan alone for their fairytale wedding. Their Disney character of choice was the Genie from Aladdin; he made is appearance after the ceremony and the bride was historically crying, she was so excited to see him. The couple enjoyed their blue wedding cake which was designed to match the Genie. Maki and Nobuhiro were a pleasure to work with.

Ever seen a birthday party like this?

December 9, 2010 at 8:16 pm (Uncategorized) (, , , , , , , )

Just a few weeks ago, A Magic Moment did the Photography and Videography for a birthday celebration of two young boys, Sammy 10, Rammy 7. This party was the place to be as the two brothers celebrated their birthdays together! The party started at 1pm and went all hours. Everything you could think of between, a bounce house, face painters, trampolines, surfing, laser tag, live petting zoo with exotic animals like spider monkeys, snakes, birds and the were even camel rides. Not to mention the live shows like Harry Potter, Star Wars and Lady Gaga. That’s not all…can’t forget about the  palm reader and magician. This list could go on and on. There wasn’t a second that passed that there wasn’t something going on or food and snacks to indulge in.
